Liebster Award

Summer’s being a successful blogging month for me and I am beyond thrilled about it. I’m so happy to accept yet another award from the wonderful blogging community – The Liebster Award! I can’t thank enough to everyone who took notice of my blog and spent some of their precious time investing it in reading my posts!

What’s your all time favorite Disney film?

First of all, I need to clarify two things: 1) When I say Disney film what I really mean is the animated movie. That’s where it all started and that’s what ‘Disney’ will always mean to me. 2) For me, Disney movies are not something for kids only – it’s a genre. A genre, that holds the most magic of all cinema.

My Ultimate Summer Picks – August Edition

After all the adventures with Indiana Jones, Zorro and a little dreaming of Provence and Tuscany, August usually asks for a bit more profound fun. But only in a very limited dose. I still need more of the adventures and laugh-out-louds. In August edition you will find a bit of everything.

My Ultimate Summer Picks – July Edition

I’m not gonna lie to you – summer is not the best time for indie films. At least not for me. It doesn’t mean I don’t watch any, but I tend to watch my all time summer picks for the most part. And those include mostly adventure, comedy and romance. If you can mix it all together, then all the better!

Baywatch (& the current heatwave)

On days like these, I try not to do anything that would require too much energy or brain activity as my brain is not properly oxygenated to be able to fully perform. So, with not enough oxygen in my system and feeling half asleep, I thought these are the perfect conditions to watch the new Baywatch!

New York, Actually and how I fell in love again

Chick-flick books about love with the inevitable happy endings have never been my thing. I always thought I can do better than that! Turns out, life can get so hard sometimes, that the guaranteed happy endings might be just the thing you need.. Especially when like me you find yourself absolutely refusing love for whatever reason.. Sounds like you? Then carry on reading and find out through my personal story how even you can fall in love again.

Hola! aka Lessons learnt in Madrid: Part 1

Spain has been one of my oldest dreams, and inspired by watching The Limits of Control where the Lone Man wanders through Madrid and later on through Seville, I thought ‘hey! I want to do that, too!’ Sadly, Seville didn’t fit into the plans this time, but there’s always the next time, right?

Beauty and the Beast: The Ultimate Fairytale Dream

I was absolutely sure that the new version of Beauty and the Beast will not just turn out to be bad (real bad, actually) but that it will also prove itself as a completely unnecessary film. Could it possibly be any good? Well, now that I have finally seen it, I am happy to report that yes, it could! In fact, I was totally enchanted.

‘1001 Movie Challenge’ Sum-Up: Part 2

I know what you’re thinking. That I’m being careful not to challenge myself too much. The fact is none of the ‘challenge’ movies I watched in the past 30 days has inspired me very much. So, I thought, I’ll just give you a quick sum-up of what I have seen, so you know I’m not a total loser. And also so you know what films you don’t have to stress about if you feel like your final day is coming 😉

A True Love Story and how it all began

I looked at him and was overcome by affection. His big green eyes fixed on me. His pleading look making me feel like I was the only one that could save him. Like I was the only one in his world. Like I was his only chance to be happy. His look almost reliant. I realized there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for him. I was too much in love to deny him anything.
